Every year, Hubbard County goes through a budgeting process that begins in June and ends in December. County department heads and financial staff work to review staffing and operational needs to support the services of the county. A preliminary budget is presented to the Hubbard County Board of Commissioners in August. It is their responsibility to set a preliminary property tax levy for 2025 by September 30th of each year.  A final property tax levy and budget for 2025 will need to set by December 28th of each year. Commissioners review major departmental budgets between the months of August and December at scheduled board meetings and work sessions. These meetings are available live online and are archived on the county website section on Agendas & Minutes.
